On 24th of November it was officially anounced that Rall Sliven will be part of the 2012 calendar or Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC). The event will be round 11 of the championship and is scheduled for 28-30 of September 2012.
After a whole moth of hard work by the organisators and the Bulgarian ASN now the final decision has been made and the rally is included in the 2012 calendar of the series.
Here is what the rally Chief of the Course said after the calendar anouncement.
„I'm very happy with the news we have today. The decision to include us in the series which are becomming more an more popular shows that all our efforts in the previous years have been highly valued by the motorsport authorities. Of course this would not be possible without the help of the entire team I'm working with, without the help of the Bulgarian Motorsport Federation, without the help of Sliven municipality and of course without the help and understanding of the local and public authorities."

1. 23-25 February: Sata Rally Acores (Portugal, gravel)
2. 15-17 March: El Corte Ingles (Spain, tarmac)
3. 6-7 April: Donelly Group Ireland (tarmac)
4. 11-12 May: Tour De Coures (France, tarmac)
5. 2-3 June: Canon Mescek Rally Hungary (tarmac)
6. 21-23 June: Geko Ypres Rally (Belgium, tarmac)
7. 6-7 July: Rally San Marino (gravel)
8. 20-22 July: Sibiu Rally Romania (gravel)
9. 31 August - 2 September: Barum Rally Zlin (Czech Republic, tarmac)
10. 15-16 September: Prime Yalta Rally (Ukraine, tarmac)
11. 29-30 September: Rally Sliven (Bulgaria, tarmac)
12. 12-13 October: Rally San Remo (Italy, tarmac)
13. 2-3 November: Cyprus Rally (gravel/tarmac)
