History of Rally "Sliven"
April 1976. The great desire of the club, the selflessness of the crews and the public are actively contributing to the organization of the rally "Sini Kamani". It became a round of the Bulgarian championship. The entrants were 120, 102 finished the race.
The overall winner was the crew Stoyan Kolev / Nikolai Kamburov (VAZ 2103). The route of the race passes through the Balkan Sliven, Targovishte, Nova Zagora and Tvarditsa with a total length of 399 km, 5 special stages (SS) with a length of 36 km. The surface was mixed - tarmac and macadam. As an attraction, at the start of the rally a closed circuit was held through the streets of Sliven, and in the end of the competition "master control" discipline was held at Square "Hadji Dimitar".
These stages were part of the rally, the time was taken in the overall and there were penalties. Analysis after the rally showed that holding a better race would take more material resources.
This led to a written agreement between the Sliven Motor Touring club and the factory "Dinamo" with director Luben Cheshmedzhiev.
1977 The name of the rally is new "Dynamo" and it is one of the most attractive rounds of the Bulgarian rally championship. It was held on 9 / 10 April. The entrants were 151, the total length of route was 427 km. The six special stages had a length of 56 km - 8 km macadam and 46 km tarmac. The winner was the crew Elijah Chubrikov / Kolyo Chubrikov with VAZ 21011.
1978 - 1981 Due to lack of funds, the race was not held. The organizers' efforts, in these years, were directed exclusively to the organization of "Zlatni pyasaci" rally and training qualified marshals. Rally "Dinamo" had only practical character.
