Overall characteristics and lenght:
Special stage “Kipilovo” will be the fastest stage included in the program of the rally. The length of the stage is 11,970 m. The surfaces is relatively new with low level of grip. It offers to the drivers flat terrain, which in combination with the fast corners make the stage very fast. In 2012 when it was last included in the program of the rally the average speed of the winner of the stage - Dimitar Iliev was 124,2 km/h.
History:
“Kipilovo is traditional special stage, despite that in the last editions of the event it wasn’t used from the organisers. The special stage is one of the legendary parts of rally “Albena”, and for many years it has been a challenge for the best european crews as a gravel stage. Since 2006 the special stage has a new asphalt and become the fastest stage in the program. For the last time the stage has been used in 2012 when the rally was part of IRC.
For the spectators:
The special stage is relatively far from Sliven and the only way to get there is through the start or the finish. It can’t be combined with any other stage. This makes it not very popular and visited. Despite this the special stage “Kipilovo” is one of the most interesting and attractive among all special stages included in the rally and it is worthy to be seen.
